Definitely. If there is a "born on date", I look for another brand of beer. A good beer will mature and get better for at least a year, longer for the high-ABV beers.

Well, since I have never drank a beer (in my life lol) this is news to me so I'm not really sure how I feel about it! I was always under the impression that things got better with age!!! Is that not the case when speaking of beer???

I dont drink budweiser. That is the only beer of which I am aware that actually has a "born on" date.

But honestly, If I buy a case of beer, it is gone the next morning in most cases.

I don't know why they even bother to put the date in. Beer still taste nasty, didn't matter if expire or not.

My husband swears by it, He'll look at all the cases of beer, and whichever one has the newest date, will be the one he buys, but i thinks its ridiculous.

If it tastes like crap then I will look, and perhaps find a reason for the icky beer.
