Diarrhea or bladder infection?
Either way get that dog to the vet. Take a stool sample too.

If he's drinking a lot it's most likely to either be kidney infection or diabetes - particularly if he's older.
Do you mean incontinent of urine or faeces? If he's dribbling urine out a lot this also points to diabetes or kidney failure. Or if your dog's a female and doesn't seem to be noticing she's urinating (true incontinence, where they lack sphinctre control) - well, many older female dogs are incontinent so this may or may not be related.
Anyway, get the dog to a vet, clearly there's a large medical problem here. We can't diagnose over the internet, but we can tell you it's very clear the dog needs a vet.

I agree that it sounds like he has developed diabetes. I don't know how common it is in dogs, but I know a lot of cats develop it as they age (or are overweight).
Take him to the vet. They can do tests and control it with diet or a daily medication.

my dog did that, so I took him to the Vet. The vet told me its not uncommon to dogs to form a bad habit of drinking water. after while it seems thats all they do. My vet give me the daily required amount of water for my sized dog. He told me to put half out in the morning and half in the afternoon and not to give him any more once its gone. After awhile he was broken of the bad habit. now I leave water out all the time.
Your Vet is a good place ask this question

Kidney, urinary tract problems.
Take to vet.
How old is dog?
Is incontinence only when dog rises from a sleep? (then hormone replacement needed,... if female)
Lots of factors involved.
Thirsty is to compensate body dehydration.
Pls. take to vet.
