I think it's fine as long as it's done in an eco-friendly manner. :)

It's okay, because cremation causes in a short time what occurs over a long time through burial. When the time comes for the resurrection of our bodies, God is more than capable of bringing us back in bodily form. After all, He created the universe; something as easy as this would be no problem.

That is my preferred method of "internment" or "whatever"ment.
Yes, there is the belief that the body is the temple of the lord, but is the soul not more important. Ashes to ashes......
On a personal side, If I am dead, I dont want to have people coming to my grave talking to a gravestone, or have an urn sitting on the mantle, or whatever. I will give them a chance and a REASON to go to Durango Colorado and dump my ashes of the railroad trestle in the Animas River--The River of the Lost Souls. So put my ashes in a baggie, dump me off the bridge, go to Carvers Brewery right there on the main drag and have a Burger and a bunch of that micro-brewery beer to wash it down. You cant beat the scenery.
Okay, that was a little too much info, but I think it is fine to have the shell of a human burned. After all, it is the soul that gives it life.

The Bible teaches in the last chapter of Revelation that heaven and earth and all the elements therein will be annihalated in fire and replaced by a new creation. So, technically, cremation is the ultimate end for all matter in this universe. So, therefore, I pronounce it okay.

there is nothing wrong with cremation. Your physical body is dead so cremate it so it won't take up as much room. Your soul has left for a better place. You won't go to hell just because your cremated.

There is nothing biblical that says any one method is preferred over another.
When a Christian dies, the body is either put in the ground, burned, dropped into the sea, or any method that is at hand. The soul and spirit go to be with the Lord.
The Lord is quite capable of putting us back together to stand judgment. After all He did create everything from nothing.
I told my husband, "If you could get away with it, put me in a big black heavy duty bag and deposit the remains in the dumpster." That's not me in the bag ... I'm with the Lord.

The only people I can think of who disapprove of cremation is Greek Orthodox. They believe you can't go to heaven if your body is not whole.

I think it is alright. The Bible says, "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". Your body was just a housing for your spirit, but now that your spirit is no longer in your body you can do whatever you want with it. Also, as long as the spirit is with the body your body is the temple of the holy spirit, and we must take care of it. But once your body dies that's it....its dead. Its worthless. Your spirit you will have forever.

i grew up catholic and never saw the problem with it. christianity makes it's money off selling the concept of the soul. once you die that means it's passed on. why should they care if the body is cremated???
