My dad bought a beetle recently with no seats, and has since asked me to try to find them online. He has checked the nearby pick-a-part, but has not found any. Everytime I do searches online, I only get results for parts of the seat (like the seat belts) and never the whole seats. Does anyone know where I could get them either online or locally (in Riverside, CA)? Thanks to those who reply :)

Buying seats is one thing.. paying for the shipping from outside of your are is quite something else. That really makes it impractical unless they are something special and worth the 100 to $200 in shipping/freight.

Here are three local options for you

Start with Craigslist for the Riverside area. Under auto parts search for VW seats.

After that check the local parts dismantlers.. there should be a place with VW's and a seat selection.

Across the border in Mexico, there are LOTS of vws and parts. Take a weekend drive and find some there.

good luck....

could have shocked me if there have been any rusted areas on the engine (thinking it extremely is principally magnesium/aluminum alloy areas which do not rust.) The tree sap did extra injury to the paint than parking it in a field. the backside of the motor vehicle (the pan) generally seems the way you notice it. Wanna comprehend how troublesome it extremely is? Take out the carpet in case you have that on the floor so which you notice the steel pan. Now get a 4 inch nail and a hammer and notice if it punches a hollow with the aid of the floor as you carry the nail with the different hand (you comprehend, once you're form of hen of giving it the completed tension of a hammer swing because of the fact of your possibilities of hitting the different 5 nails earlier you hit the a million steel one) anyhow, probability is you will not bypass with the aid of. we are speaking good steel. No concerns. seem at each and all the floor (front seats returned seat, do away with battery to ascertain how lots battery acid is in there(which will consume the steel. Get 0.5 a cup of warmth water and combine in a tablespoon of baking soda then pour that water answer the place the battery grew to become into sitting. If there is acid (or white powder) this could fizz like mad because of the fact the baking soda neutralizes the acid on the steel. there is not any drain hollow so which you will ought to sop up the mess with an outdated fabric(which suits into the garbage at as quickly as) floor holes are fastened with bathing room silicone goobered into each and each hollow like a rubber plug. the only carpet you may do away with is the single the place the ft bypass on. The partitions and top ledges are held down with touch cement.. usually not meant to return off ever. Backwindows do not usually leak. They do sweat in case you do not tension with the drivers window in part open as you tension. it extremely is between the air tight issues. it is bigger than a lawnmower and you need to comprehend why the sheet steel desires to be placed on the place it does (as this aids in cooling the motor) and heater packing packing containers are for warmth interior the motor vehicle. out of your description the rust isn't even worth pointing out.

Try John's Import Auto in Portland, OR.

If you can get parts to make a whole seat take them to a reupholstery shop in your area.
