I have been really down about alot of things lately, and yesterday I woke up with a very upset stomach,a bad headache and my chest hurting a bit. My entire day was full of discomfort and pain as I had issues breathing as well and even fainted at work. However, I seem to be over things today without the help of medicine or anything. Was this a effect of the stress I have had lately? I have never felt so sick in my life. I felt like I was dying almost as I could not do much of anything and was very very drained. I did nothing but sleep when I got home.

about 5 years ago, I started to fall into a really depressive episode. At first I thought it was only because I had a bad break from a relationship but the feelings wouldn't go away even after I got a new girlfriend. It was wrecking my life until a point where it was seriously affecting my work and personal life.

She was very worried but at the same time couldn't understand why I was still sad and thought that I still couldn't let go of my previous relationship. Being the wonderful person that she is, she put aside her feelings and suggested I go for psychiatric evaluation. Many months later and even more anti-depressants, I was not coming close to being better at all.

After doing some research online, I found out the real cause as you described it really makes a lot of sense and purchased this program. The results were simply astonishing. I read this book over three times and put all words in action. Using this method, I've kept my depression at bay ever since. Up to date I'm still living happily with my girlfriend.

No, but depression can cause physical symptoms. Being physically sick doesn't cause you to cry uncontrollably. Something is, however, causing you to have these crying spells. With not knowing your background (age, situation, etc) it's hard to answer your question. It might be something 'hormonal'. As soon as your feeling better, you should make an appointment with your physician to have a complete physical. Depression, on the other hand, can cause you to have actual symptoms (upset stomach, headaches, difficulty eating, etc). I am a RN who also struggles with depression. I feel like an 'expert' for the simple reason of having to live with depression for most of my life. If you do discover that you are having a 'depressive episode', then seek help from your family and friends. You will start to feel better soon. Also keep in mind, that when we are sick, it lowers our own 'security' blanket, and we may feel like a child, and want to lie in bed with the covers over our heads until we feel better. Good luck.

It is a form of intense stress and can lead to any number of symptoms. Just because it goes away doesn't mean it isn't going to come back. If you are subject to that illness then you must get help, no one can cure themselves of being depressed without guidance. Take care of yourself and
STOP thinking in a negative manner.
