To the person who said that it was only possible to lose 20 lbs in 5 months, losing 2 lbs a week- that would be 40 lbs total then, by May (8 lbs a month *5 Months) FYI- Thanks for the answers everyone

Yes, if you combine it with exersise. Diet alone or exersise alone will not be as effetcive.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

It MAY be possible, but it might be unhealthy. Generally it's reccomended to loose around 1 or 2 lbs a week, any more than that and you are probably loosing water or even muscle.

Keep in mind also, it's not really how much WEIGHT you loose, but how much FAT. Me personally, I lost 3 inches in my waist, but that wasn't reflected in my weight because I gained muscle from working out.

While you may have an event you want to loose weight for, and while I understand that (believe me, I understand!) you want to make sure you do it in a healthy way. That way you're more likely to KEEP it off, instead of just gaining it all (or even MORE) back.

I'd reccomend eating the normal foods you eat, but slowly starting to cut out some of the fat, and make your portions smaller. Diets that are VERY different from what you normally eat are VERY hard to stick to, because you'll miss your normal foods.

Good Luck!

It will be possible, however, if that is all you are going to eat, then you are going to be missing a lot of vitamins and minerals, that will keep your energy level high and give you a good attitude. If you were to try this diet, I would recommend, the website below which offers a very good multi-vitamin.

maximum healthy weight loss is two pounds a week...so in five months the amount safely lost is twenty pounds.
