And start threatening to behead anyone who wouldn't accept your God?

(And don't silly questions about that say more about the religious mentality than the ethical dilemas of atheists?)

No, I would not.

That particular questioner asks some strange ones. It is obvious a reverse on the questions asked of Christians all the time. I remember once as a child being asked if I would deny Christ if my life was threatened, who the heck asks a kid that. . .crazy. And, just for the record it was not my parents who asked that but an elder in a church.

The guy is just trying to give the same example to the theists and the atheists.

It is a silly example, but it does show the mindset of the two groups.

In potential, a large group of dead Christians, and a large group of alive, but slightly embarrassed atheists.

As an atheist I would use this to confirm the maryter complex that so mnay Christians have.

If heaven is so great, why do they not want to go there ASAP. Go mountain climbing without ropes. Join the Philadephia police force. High risk is not suicide.

If God wants them to live happy and full lives, and knows absolutely what is in their hearts, why will their God not forgive them a lie made under duress?

But they want to make the 'ultimate sacrifice' for their deity. Secretly part of them wants this to happen.

Wow. That would be a real party, huh? Talking about how I don't believe more than you. Oh yeah, forget what you say, I'm the ultimate non-believer.

By the way, when was the last time you got threatened to accept God? Take a deep breath and enjoy life. God bless.

I would like to go the an atheists convention. It would be interesting to ask them a question or two, such as :
Do you think it was sheer luck that we were created?
How did the earth end up the exact distance from the sun in order to sustain life?
Do you believe everything that someone in a lab coat (scientist) says? Isn't that blind faith?? ( i know, they have "proof")
I believe those are pertinent questions.

I think atheists have the market flooded on the "silly" question area. And that says a lot about the atheists that are on here.
