I once named a cat Maverick after the movie Top Gun. It was because he always seemed to live life on the edge.

I had cats named. Matches -he was a smoke colored cat.
Maybellene (after the make-up)
Amarette- she was a beige color
Kalhua was her buddy -chocolate colored.
