marketing the business?

I would like to market my business online only throughout US. It's an investigation firm. I would like it to pop up on google, etc. and major areas pertaining to the industry. Any suggestions, where I can go? Cost is important also.

You can probably go to an advertising agency and ask for their help. They could probably recommend good places to advertise, and I think that they take their fee out of the advertising that you book, although that may vary.
