I once heard of a medical school graduate at 17. Problem was he could not secure a internship at that age. He had to wait until he was 21 to do that. So in the meantime he whiled away his time taking even more graduate medical school courses and attending medical school seminairs. Remember it's typically 8 years to obtain the doctorate So this kid would have had to start college about age 9. And with a medical course, you really can't accelerate the university courses. And during summer you don't have courses available for 3 semester years.

I have heard of medical school graduates at age 12 as well. But that was a few centuries ago and medical school amounted to about 6 weeks of training and today wouldn't be as good as a basic Red Cross First Aid class.

I was 24 and I know of a few others who were 22.
There was a need for doctors in the very early 1970s,
so there were some accelerated programs then. I had started college at 17 and was accepted to med school a year early at age 20. I don't think American med schools are ever less than four years. I had to convince my interviewers that I was mature enough at age 20 to be in med school.
Age 24 was young enough. People often questioned whether I was old enough to be a doctor in those early days.
I suspect people would have little confidence in a 17 year old doctor.
