I ask becuase I guy I knew said that it really wasn't that big of a deal. (i know, WTF, right) So then, I was thinking "how many guys think that?" That's why I asked this question.

As a girl-I thought that was really freaky that he said that-maybe he was drunk or high on something when he said it. Maybe he was just mad because he said that he had sex with his girlfriend, then a month later she accused him of rape because she felt bad about it.

Well, I don't know, he had mental problems...or something... but that's why I asked this question.

The last time I checked this particular offense was illegal. As for the offender, I think the Vikings had a very nice way of dealing with it. Remove the legs from below the knee. The arms from below the elbow. Shorten the penis, and this is the important part, leave the testicles in perfect order. The offender can't walk away from anything that excites them, nor can he manually deal with his arousal, but because the testicles are there. He still has those yearnings, what an interesting and in my opinion, poetic hell. Unfortunately this treatment is considered inhumane and politically incorrect. What a shame. Culture is what you do to a man when he offends you, civilization is letting him get away with it.

It is an act of violence performed by a person who has some significant antisocial behavior problems. It is a criminal act that deserves the maximum punishment possible under the law. I liken it to pedophilia/child molestation in that the perpetrator cannot be rehabilitate and should serve the rest of their lives in an institution.

I've investigated and prosecuted serial rapists in the past and for these folk nothing more than life in custody is fitting. They view all their victims as targets and their preferred targets encompass the entire population. They view their actions as 'normal' and justified in satiating their deviant behavior.

It's a pretty tasty vegetable. Very healthy, too. I'd recommend rape to anyone.

I don't know if I have an "opinion" on rape. It is too horrible and disgusting to consider any other "opinion" that to oppose it and to penalize it severely.

It's a crime of control. These are sicko's that never receive enough time in prison. They are released only to do the crime again.

A horrific crime second only to murder - sometimes worse because some murders can be justified. No rape can ever be.

Not always as black and white as first glance.
Although its far more complicated than can be written here.

It's horrible, vicious, nasty crime that is never EVER called for-regardless of the victim's wardrobe or previous actions or relationship with the attacker.
