So I am currently in America on a Student Visa working on my OPT. I am due to be married in the next few months to an American. My question is when I get married do I get a new social security number, because obviously I have established credit etc on this number and was wondering will I lose this and start again.

No. Only 1 SSN to customer unless you are a victim of identity theft...and then, if they are unable to clean up your identity any other way, they may make an exception and issue you a new number.

After you get married and you file I-765 along with I-130, I-485, I-131. Upon approval of I-765 Employment Authorization Document, you will get EAD card. With that you can go to your local social security office and apply for the new type. I believe you will keep the same number but without restriction on working.

No. You can call the SS office and give them your new name and they'll update their records.
