Yes I have and I've seen a few links that some people use to as "justification" to their rants.

And I really dont think much about it. If you have a complaint on how I handled something or treated you, talk to my boss.

I don't have a problem with citizens wanting to be more informed and involved about the law enforcement community and processes.

However I don't have much time for Copwatch. They don't have any interest in presenting a balanced view. In my city each of the four founders of the Copwatch "branch" are convicted sex offenders, and I have yet to meet a single Cop Watch member who is not a convicted felon.

The problem with "organizations" such as Copwatch is that any complaint whether based upon fact or otherwise can be entered into the system.

Our court systems and constitution gives every citizen the right to face their accusors yet this is a forum of which anybody can say anything with or without fact!

Any organization can be corrupt, thats true.
At least "Copwatch" is letting cops know they are being watched too. I am not sure how corrupt cop watch is, but I KNOW how corrupt cops themselves can be. (not every cop, before people rag on me)

I think that in the end, they will be just like the ACLU. They only fight for what THEY think everyone should do. I am not saying that there are not bad cops that should be looked at.

Focuses on resources for fighting police misconduct, strategies and techniques to combat police abuse, brutality, harassment, and corruption. I beleive there goal is to police the police. Some believe they have a very anti-police slant to their agenda.

I'm fine with people wanting to monitor them.

I personally would not be involved in any group monitoring the law though...I would fear reprisal.

I think the organization"Cop Watch" is part of the solution, not the problem.
