Would a mixed cut wedding band like this look weird with it?

I think it would look fine. The round in the engagement ring is carried into the band so they would seem to "go" together just fine.

They won't look good together. Either go with a plain band, or one with just a few of the small diamonds inset, the same style and size as the ones in the band of the engagement ring.

I'm sure I answered this yesterday as I distinctly remember the pictures of both rings, I think they will look very nice together.
