I pull over when safe and answer my phone. And no, I am NOT lying!
If I miss the call, I will still pull over and ring them back.
Drivers that STILL use their mobile phones whilst driving are irresponsible. Fact.
A child about 1/2 a mile from my house was knocked over by a driver on his mobile phone, luckily the child survived ( with a broken leg )although he was driving 42mph in a 30mph zone.

Just because I have a cell phone doesn't mean that I am able to focus on driving and talking at the same time. I'm an animated type and use my hands while talking, so when I drive, I turn the cell phone off. No call is more important than being a safe driver.

Blue tooth is NOT going to make it safer!
It is the process of talking not the holding that makes using the phone dangerous.
Alll those hands free law are BUNK!
Good Luck.
P.S. I think we should have higher standard in drivers ED (for everybody not just HS students). I'm little bit envious of the German style of driver's education.

nope sorry, i dont have a landline, so my phone is my link. i will slow down, change lanes, and drive like "grandma" but i refuse to stop to make a phone call.
besides, the bluetooth or headphones are not really any safer, cuz you need not just eyes, but full attention on the road. so i feel i'm a safer driver, going 45/50mph in a far right lane talking on the phone, than the maniac driving in the far left lane going 75/80 mpg with a BlueTooth.

I don't use my phone while I drive and its just something that I have always done.
We use a code for emergencies, meaning if someone really needs me, they need to call twice very fast and then I will pull over and stop and return the call.

I never use my phone while driving so any upcoming laws concerning it don't bother me in the least. If my phone rings while driving, I just let it kick over to voicemail.
It constantly amazes me how people are slaves to their phones. They have to talk into them while driving, grocery shopping, exercising, etc.

I don't think it should be illegal. I don't think it's safe practice either, but there are a lot of things that are done while driving that I don't think is safe either. I don't think we can write laws for all of them....
