There are some sites Christian sites that if you chat and you said you 'screwed up' they'd ban you for cussing or warn you to not use that filthy language. Well I was reading something from a cowboy ministry and this lady said we have "screwed" up values.

I don't get it. What's so filthy and profane about saying screwed? It's the same as messed up.

If saying you screwed up or something about using the word screw is bad, then why did a Christian cowgirl use this word in her newsletter?

You wandered on to a Legalistic form of Christianity. To them, it's more important that they censor EVERYTHING than to witness to an unbeliever.

So please, don't take it too hard. It's easy for a Christian to get the wrong message. Churches do it often to their congregations.

If you want, you can e-mail me with questions on the Bible, I have been a Christian for over 20 years and have been told that I know a lot about it. I promise that I won't 'screw up', at least to the best of my ability.

"Screw up" I don't consider vulgar.
"Screw you" certainly is.

I've been hung up on by some call centre CSRs for using the words "screw up". Each to their own...

screw is a simple tool, an inclined plane wrapped about an axis, there is nothing profane about it..
