Yes; That's "snack time"
Dinner should not be before 5:00 (some dads want dinner on the table the moment they come in from work; an unreasonable demand, in my estimation.. There should be a period of relaxation, clean-up, and then a leisurely dinner around 6-7:30 with family discussion about the days activities.

Little snacks are always a good in between meals. Just not junk. Something with protein like nuts, peanut butter and celery, hard boiled eggs (without the yolk). That will give you energy without all the calories. Can of tuna is also a good snack.

Grab a healthy snack and eat dinner later. That way you do not end up eating junk later in the evening.

To me yes it is.
But if you do eat that early for dinner then have a good snack or a protein shake before 7p.m. then you wont be hungry in the middle of the night.
American Whey protein is the best shake around and will keep you healthy and fit.
Good luck:

YOu could trade your snack time and dinner time. Eat the bigger meal when you get home from school then have a healthy snack or salad later.

I always came home HUNGRY after school and would eat everything in sight. And them at 6:Pm eat dinner. So I think you are about normal.

Nope. It's actually better to have a large meal earlier in the day and then have a light snack later on - gives your body more time to work on burning the calories.

I think eating earlier has lots of benefits, as long as it doesn't leave you starving later in the evening and eating a bunch before you go to bed. Go for it!
