Are marijuana and magic mushrooms ethical from a Christian standpoint?

This question is for Christians.

Why did God place nontoxic natural organisms such as marijuana and “magic mushrooms” if he did not want them to be used? After reading the bible, I can only remember one fruit that God forbid men from eating, and we all know what happened after that. It seems more logical to think that God created these drugs for the responsible human.

I remember trying to establish the same doctrine to justify weekend trips....

I guess the argument against that is that God also created cliffs and arsenic and wolverines. Just because a cliff was created by God doesn't mean you should jump off of it, or eat arsenic or put a wolverine down you pants.....

In the end, if you want to take drugs, you should not waste time trying to get permission from God.

God really doesn't exist, you should focus on whether eating mushrooms or smoking the Ganga makes you a better person.

I had fun with both in college, but know now that they were a fun time, but not extremely valuable for living life.

The Scriptures admonish and warn all Christians to be sober minded, and to avoid drunkenness. Since alcohol is a drug, I believe that all illegal narcotics fall into this category, and would cause people to be "drunken" and not sober. One of the fruits of the Holy Spirit is self-control (temperance). God wants Christians to be self-controlled, and sober-minded, and so I believe these drugs are to be avoided.

(only can explaine marijuana, but very detailed info given)i attend a christian school and in bible class we were only told that we shouldnt worship two gods. but when i fist started going i was atheist and i wouldve stayed atheist if it wasnt for marijuana(has been used for relegious cerimonies throught time)
it it helped me find God, not only when high but throughout my life
since God dosnt mention marijuana (possibly a poppy plant, bible not clear as to what it was but likely due to being grown around that area)but i dont think God has anything against it, i think that christians only think of that because its illegal but read on and it'll show why it was only criminalized due to threatening multibillion dollar industry threatenened.(please dont delete comment over length, this is a very importent issue and it means alot to me, thankyou) Its only illegal because Harry Anslinger
(head of treasury in 1930s) was having his multibillion industry threatened, so he appointed his nefew as head of dangerous drugs and narcotics, secret meetings were held to try to find a way to make one of the worlds best resources out of the way. Eventually the made a movie called "reefer madness"(look it up on google video[not on youtube]). All it did was tell lies to trick the naive americans into teahing thier children not to, and so on. Its a plant not an evil drug (also can be used to replace 10-20% of potentialy addictive and costly medications)
