hello.
need to make potato soup in the crockpot.
I have potatoes, milk,butter,2 kinds of onion,celery and alot of seasoning, cant remember how much of each to put in,
does anyone have the recipe that uses these ingredients
thanks in advance!

5-8 lg. potatoes>diced or ?,onions to desire,half the crock pot filled with water, boil the potatoes for an hour(crock pots don't really boil,so;high heat for an hour),then add seasonnings & 2-3 cups of milk, salt/pepper to your taste; stir, simmer(low heat) for an hour or two. should yeild about 2 1/2-3 qt.s of good potatoe soup?

here is my recipe and it is so easy and does not include the use of a crockpot . since there is only me and hubby . I dice up 4 potatoes and dice up 1/4 onion . I melt butter in the pot I am going to cook the soup in . the butter should be one pat and then cook onions untill clear and then add potatoes . then I add chicken broth and some water to just tops of potatoes . I then boil untill they are cooked . after that i turn the heat to simmer and add milk untill it is a milky color. in the mean time pull out about 1/4 of the potatoes and mash them and then add back to pot . they will thicken your soup a little and then wallah you have wonderfull potato soup .
