I saw that little saying the other day; and thought it was so accurate.

Ask for both. Jesus said his burden was easy and his yoke was light. He taught us to pray that we would not have to face temptation. Yet...life offers many surprises, and even the most spiritually healthy would benefit from the strength to face disaster...hopefully we would never need it personally, but we will be able to share it with others.

It's all relative anyway.
If you have a weak back, it's a heavy load. If you have a strong back, it's a light load. Whatever you ask for, you shall receive, and in the way He wants you to receive it. Ask for a light load and you may receive a strong back in order to make it lighter.
1 Kings 12:10
And the young men that were grown up with him spake unto him, saying, Thus shalt thou speak unto this people that spake unto thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, but make thou it lighter unto us; thus shalt thou say unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father's loins.

This isn't necessarily a spiritual question. I agree with that statement, even though it mentions God. All it means is be strong and work hard.

I think that you should ask for neither because if you have Christ in your life He tells us that He will make our burdens lighter. He also tells us that His yoke is easier to bear.
