Priest says that a person can go to heaven without repentance and belief in the Savior, Jesus. Jesus said he was the ONLY way. Who's wrong here?

If a person goes to Hell, it is not because they were especially bad, because no one is good. The reason they go to Hell is because their sins are not forgiven, they have no legitament sacrifice for their sins. The only sacrifice God accepts now, is that of the Lamb that was slayed at Calvary, Christ.

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The Bible holds truth where as men are full of deceit. Trust in the Word of God, for this you will not be sorry.

I cannot help thinking you misunderstood the Priest and are misquoting him. No legitimate Catholic would even make those statements as you stated. True Catholic teaching is that everyone who follows a sincere, honest and informed conscience can be saved regardless of actual membership in the Church. However, salvation is still through the Catholic Church which teaches that there is no salvation outside of Jesus. In other words, ignorance is excusable as long as it is not deliberate. In other words, sincerely following ones conscience implies they would join and follow the teachings of the Church if they if they had the opportunity and knowledge to do so. They obtain spiritual membership through implicit desire to follow the truth. Jesus remains the only way, the truth and the life. If the Catholic Priest was quoted exactly the way you stated, he would have to be reported to his bishop, who would in return, remove him from his duties. He could even be excommunicated. I doubt the Priest did make those comments as such.

The Catholic Church believes that those who die never hearing of Christ but have sought the truth and does the will of God as they understand it can be saved. See Romans 2:13-16. This is called the Baptism of desire. (1)

If they died before Jesus died for our sins and opened the gates of heaven for us, then they waited in what is called in the Old Testament Abraham's bosom or Sheol.

Catholics believe that after Jesus died on the cross, he descended into Sheol, the place of the dead. While there He freed the holy souls who awaited their savior in Abraham's bosom. (2)

For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church,
(1) sections 1257-1261: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt2sect2.htm#art1
(2) section 632 and following: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt1sect2chpt2art5.htm#p1

With love in Christ.

Jesus said to live by the words that come from God's

That is definitely not the meaning of Jesus as the only way.
Whoever gets to heaven gets there because of Jesus. And as Romans says, if you don't have the Law you are judged without the Law... Abraham got to heaven because of Jesus, didn't he ? Please say 'yes'

So even if you live a decent life, raising and loving your children, doing good works for your community and society in general, if you haven't accepted Jesus as your personal saviour, you're going to hell.

Nice.

Tell me again why I would ever want to accept this egotistical, needy, insecure jerk as my saviour? Just so I can get into his little country club after I die?

No thanks.

Quoting the bible is not even proof that Jesus existed, much less said anything.

Good for the Priest, atleast he's thinking "Maybe non-Catholics wont go to hell."

Maybe you should open your eyes too to notice that God is all loving and forgiving...I do not believe anyone will go to Hell.
