What are your plans this week.. what did you do.. and what are you making to eat?
I would like some easy side dish recipe ideas.. I am making a Chicken Biryani with Saffron.. but need something to go with it. Best Wishes!

I just went to my doctors today and he told me that my little girl will probably be born on Eid! So, if that's the case, then I guess I'll be at the Clinique giving birth to Khadija! lol
We plan on spending the Eid how we do every year - our family, and the family of my husbands brother all together at my husbands parents house. The men will go to the mosque, and then tend to all things having to do with the lamb (the sacrificing, the cutting up meat into portions to use for cooking later, and grilling some lamb to eat that day) while us women stay with the kids, make some side dishes, etc.
I don't know what side dish would go with what you are cooking. I'm going to be making candied yams (the kids love them) and almond ice cream. I'm not sure what my SIL is going to make (probably a tagjine), and my MIL is going to make the salad.
In the afternoon after we eat, we plan on taking the kids either to the Circus, or to the Amusement Park here. I can't wait! I love the family togetherness on Eid!
