If youre boyfriend truly loves you the lack of you being able to buy him a gift shouldnt be a bad thing.
You can always make him something....A nice card, a little booklet with photos of the two of you...something sweet, but not expensive.....Maybe cook him a dinner, or a desert...
Dont make yourself feel obligated to give him anything that you dont feel comfortable with, regardless of what some of these guys are saying....

Christmas is about giving, not spending money. Keep that in mind. Maybe write him a romantic letter and put "coupons" in it. For example... "One free foot rub" "One free home-cooked dinner"... just things like that. Any home-made gift is always good. Is this your first Christmas together? There are lots of ideas that cost little to nothing. Think of something unique to your relationship. And if he truely cared about you, no, he wouldn't be mad.

first off why do all presents have to be paid for? Believe me the best gifts can be those that you were creative with..........I am sure you can think of something that would not cost that would make him happy. Just think about what makes him smile and happy and you will think of a great gift believe me!!!!

No. Explain your circumstances to him. He should understand. If he don't then he doesn't need to be your boy friend.
