I don't know what breed of dog you have got but you must have some sort of an idea of when she was mated. Different breeds can deal with labour in a vary different way but most usually start to dig around in their beds and lose their appetite 24 hrs or so before. This can be a good sign that labour is iminent.
My british bulldog bich has just had a litter of 6 and she was not lactating until after delivery. I am a very good breeder and owner and I always know when my bitches are due. The guide line is 63 days but this again can vary between breeds.
I always have my bitches scanned by a very nice lady who comes to my house. She is spot on with numbers and dates. She charges £55 and she is worth it every time. t least you know what you are dealing with and be prepared for anything.
Get in touch with your vets ( I hope you have one) NOW.
Good luck and perhaps you should get her spayed as soon as you can. You should never go into breeding with your eyes shut. You are dealing with precious buddles that deserve the best.

Depends upon when she was bred.

Average is 63 days from breeding ... so it could be anywhere from day 59-day 67.

I recommend having an x-ray done at day 57 to count the number of pups to expect as well as to determine the degree of calcification... a good vet can tell you about how much longer it will be.

You also need to be taking her temp once a day. When you see a drop below 99 degrees it is usually less than 24 hours until pups come.

I would say just about any day now. Watch the dog, she will start looking around the house where she wants to birth. Let her select the spot and help her if possible to get comfy, blanket and maybe a few rags to help clean. She'll be real quiet the day or two before.

This would be a great question to ask your mentor.

I'm sure you don't have one though.

See a vet. We don't know your dog, we have no way of telling you when the dog will give birth. Gestation lasts for nine weeks. When did the dog get pregnant? Nine weeks from then is when she will give birth. Once the pups are weaned, spay your b1tch and never consider doing this again. You obviously haven't got a clue what you are doing.

very soon if she has milk, you ll notice her digging around, trying to hide the day before.
you ll know when shes in labor because she will start panting loads.
if you have no experience of whelping i strongly suggest you get in contact with a breeder over the phone so they can tell you in better details what stages she will go through, and what can go wrong....and how to notice the signs that something is going wrong,
you need to be prepared, some dogs need cesareans if they cant deliver in their own, good luck................bringing up puppies is beautifull....i cant wait for my next litter!!!

at this point the only way to know when it is getting close is by watching her temperature. you need to go get a digital thermometer and you have to carefully take her temp rectally at least once a day and record it. a dogs normal temp is between 100.5 and 102.5. if it drops below 99 then you should expect puppies within 24 hours or so. please find some websited about whelping so you know what to expect. that is if you care about your dog anyway.

good luck

dogs are usually pregnant between 58 to 63 days. Have you already gotten her use to a box? She'll be more at ease if she has one. My Jack Russell gave birth 2 times in one.

It could be today, it could be tomorrow, it could be a few days still. Call your vet ASAP - You need to make sure the vet is aware of the situation and is on call if there is a problem.

You really should have researched this before breeding, so start researching Whelping NOW so you can be prepared for the pups - because they arent far off!

Within a week or less, probably within a few days. You can't see movement until very close to the end of pregnancy.
Good luck and Congratulations.
