My Collie has a really horrible looking nose infection. I started maybe a year ago with a little pink showing on both sides of the nose. Recently it has spread quickly to completely cover the top of the nose into the nostrils, and is beginning to move up the snout. It is very pink and sometimes bleeding. My family doesn't seem to realize this is a serious infection, and I'm just wandering if I can get any info on this before I bring him to the vet. I read about "Collie nose" which would logically be this condition but I'm not sure. Has anyone seen this before? Any info at all would be great.

Wow, I can't even imagine allowing a problem to go on for a weeks or months, let alone a whole year.. How about you see the vet.
