do not pay attention to any of those hate mongers, you would be welcomed into the Marine Corp yet once you have a heavy British accessory anticipate a splash flak, however the Marines are a good bunch and seem out for one extra. I served with maximum of distinctive nationalities I cant even bear in mind all of them and all have been favored and taken care of extremely. I even have 0 concern with you wanting to go into the U. S. military, GL.

Apply for and receive a green card that grants permanent residence and work access in the United States. Move there, find your own accommodation and apply.
All recruiting for the US military is naturally only done in America and American territories. The only regular military forces an Australian can apply for is the Australian Defence Force and British Armed Forces, unless they have permanent residence somewhere else.
Then again, why would you want to? It's a lot of hassle to apply, move and serve in an foreign military, not to mention pay and benefits in the ADF are higher.

First, you have to be a legal resident alien. And no, the military CANNOT help you with that. You need to get with the Dep. of Naturalization, or the U.S. embassy, and take care of that first. Then, any branch of the military will take you. But, in order to re-enlist you have to become a legal U.S. citizen. Good luck!!

Move to America and become a legal US citizen and go to your local recruiter's office and they will sign you up. We had someone from England and Africa in my platoon. I am not a foremost expert on it, but I believe there is also a way you can obtain citizenship through joining the military...I honestly suggest going to Marines.com and get more information there

You CAN join the US Armed Forces as a foriegn national!
There are conditions though.
You can't re-enlist until you have citizenship and you can't get a Security Clearance(limits job opportunities)
But the Defense Dept. has worked with ICE to streamline and expedite citizenship applications for servicemembers.
It's around a year opposed to 4+ years as a civilian.

you must be a legal permanent resident of the US before you can enlist in any Branch, the military cannot and will not help you get the Green Card.
