For instance, I have noticed that a lot of women would say "Oh, I don't like shy guys because XYZ". But, when an attractive shy guy shows up in their life, then they're all totally into him. Another example, women will also say "I don't like guys who are shorter than me because XYZ". However, when a rich good-looking guy who is shorter than them shows up in their life, then all of a sudden, they change their minds and they all want him.
The above only presents two of the many examples on how women contradict themselves. So, why do most women contradict themselves?

They do not, not all. Generalizing destroys your question.

Hy main event...
Interesting question, as I do love to contradict myself.
I can say I try not to judge, so the above examples dont really apply. I try to treat everyone equally.
To try an explain my delight in contradiction I would have to say it may fall into the catagory of emotions, feelings. As we apparently have 5% more water in our bodies than men do. Me personally I like to have more than 1 view on the subject, and an understanding from different points of view. So I can say I believe in both. Maybe hard to believe that I can say I 100% believe in 1 thing and 100% contrary to that belief but it seems to exists with me. Ok maybe I just can't make up my mind... lol
I will try an example to express what Im trying to say better... I can say I always try to be honest, but I can also say I will omit some facts to avoid hurting someones feelings. Is that a contradiction? hmmm ok 1 more attempt cause Im not sure now... I have no monetary desires but I have no wish to be without. Both at the same time. So there is a desire for money in that sence.

Dude, most men contradict themselves too. The generalization is cruel to women. I know a lot of women who stand by what they say and have never contradicted themselves. You must be ending up with the "fickle" minded ones. Be a bit more selective next time.

It's not that women contradict themselves, it's just that most women are not as shallow as men. I would prefer a tall man and am not instantly attracted to short men, but if a short man enters my life and sweeps me off my feet by treating me the way a woman wants and needs to be treated, then I'm not going to be shallow and push him away because of his height. Some things mean more than others.

Women (and men too, so don't stereotype!) have standards. They think they have this ideal, perfect guy all picked out. He's this tall, with this color eyes, this color hair, this body type, etc. He has this personality.
Then they meet someone who is better than their standards. That's what you're experiencing. I'm a hard core video gamer, so naturally I was interested in finding a guy who likes video games too. And who did I fall for? The most perfect man I've ever met ... who hasn't owned a video game console since the Atari and doesn't care.
So if that's what you mean by contradicting myself, okay. But it's not a contradiction by definition. You've simply found something better that doesn't fit your pre-conceived mold. I've heard of a guy who refused to date a girl who weighs more than 135; he even has these girls get on scales. I think it's time for him to "contradict" himself because he's going to be very, very lonely if he restricts himself to this perfect image in his mind.

Quote from MadTV: "I am a woman, you know. Sometimes I say things I do not mean. Because I am a complex creature, okay?"
Anyway, seriously, while they do not like guys who are shorter than them, it probably isn't a big factor in their decision. Usually people overlook qualities if another quality outshines it. Almost like it "makes up" for that quality. It's not only women, but men have that sometimes too.
Of course that's not for everyone. There are always exceptions...in this case, there are many exceptions enough to not even make that generalization valid =/.

Have you ever met me? Seen me?? Then how is it I am in your catorgory?? I am a woman.
First, I do not have a type. If someone intrigues me, thats a start. I have some preferences, but nothing is set in stone. Looks are not one of my attractions in a man. That comes later as I begin to have a deeper interest and different appreciation in them. Looks are to easy. I need something more reliable than looks or wealth if I'm spending time with this person.
Second, flashing money or wealth around is one of my biggest turn offs in a man!!! How cheap!

oh, i fee your innovations.. they are very exciting and bonafide arguments. i form of trust your substantial argument this is clever that bisexuals who like butches purely could be directly when you consider that they are interested in men's actual parent. yet i propose you artwork on how they'd circulate extra previous the actual charm to the sexual intercourse between 2 ladies, one that is bisexual who prefers purely butch and one that is a real butch lesbian.
