If it isn't, isn't it time for the Christians to claim it is.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the month of January named after Janus?

All the months as well as the days of the week derive from the Roman mythology. Romans are also the ones who created our modern calendar. So they have a monopoly on naming the calendar.

And I'd say Janus is perfect for naming the beginning of the year after, wouldn't you think?

It's not named after Jesus, it's named after Janus, the two-faced god.

I think most of us know that the Roman God, Janus has that month sorted out for himself. As for dissolving 'Roman' religion, it is too far entrenched in our culture to be dissipated.

Must be Satan revising history again.

January was most likely named after Jesus sister, who had a boyfriend in Niagara falls Canada. It has to be Christian.

No - its named after the Janus. Why would the Christians want to invade our lives even more?

Frankly my dear. I don't give a damn. I have enough in my life to care and worry about other than things like this.

Dear, first Wikipedia is not a reliable source.
second, January was not named after Jesus
third, what difference would it make! or care!

Don't carry the world on your shoulder. Atlas is, and he is very tired. Take it easy.

To all who vote for me. May God Bless and keep you safe and happy.

It grieves me that I have to live with nonsense. Midnight, on january 1 does not begin a day, month, or year. But most people, Christian and Atheists alike all believe that it does.
Name it what ever you like.
