Geese are force fed to enlarge their livers. I believe you mean Pate foie gras (French term). I find it's an acquired taste. You either love it or hate it.

foie gras + it disgusts me to think of the things people will do . p.s. i don't eat milk fed veal anymore either even though it's absolutetly delicious

the yelow part is just fat thus the name fatted liver in french
