Here is something different. Get some crescent rolls and do not break them into triangles leave them square. Put hot dog (Nathans or Hebrew national franks are awesome) in pastry, you might want to cut off about an inch so they fit in the pastry, add some chopped onion, some cheese, and a little chili. Roll them tightly making sure they are sealed as good as possible. bake them at 350 for 15 to 20 mins. or till golden. You might want to turn them half way through. Serve with some mustard or your favorite condiment!
Enjoy! They are very tasty. let me know what you think.

Make a chili dog in a Pie Iron over an open fire using Koegel Vienna's, Hormel chili with no beans, mustard, American or Cheddar cheese and diced onions between a buttered hot dog bun. Awesome goodness!

I hope you don't mean making the hot dog as I buy mine-all beef I like best. I love everything on it. Ketchup, yellow mustard, sweet pickle relish and raw onions or chopped up in baked beans. But my favorite is sauerkraut with some Heinz Ketchup on top of the hot dog (I must eat on New Year Eve) on a toasted or steamed bun.

Take a hot dog split it open sprinkle cheddar cheese and a strip of bacon (cooked) roll it up inside of a cressant roll triagle and bake at 400 for 8 to 10 minutes. Make sure the cut side is up or all of the cheese will melt out. these are called frankcheesies

when i was younger i worked at an arcade on the beach and we used to sell a LOT of these hot dogs. they were called "chicago dogs", but i've never been to chicago to know if it is something common to the area. anyhow here's how we fixed them:

mayo, ketchup, and mustard on bun, hot dog, onion, relish, american cheese, chili, cole slaw, dill pickle spear, and two of those itty-bitty little peppers (like the kind in vinegar that they use for pepper sauce). then you steamed it and handed it to the folks on a paper plate with a fork and knife.

gross, huh? but we sold a whole lot of them!

We make bacon dog with our hot dogs. That when you take the hot dog and cut them into thirds .then cut you bacon to go around each hot dog . after that put them in the oven for about 10 minutes . bake at 300 . then you take them out then put them in a slow cooker . After that pour a bottle bar-Que sauce over them let them cook for about 1-3 hour and they are done. I for got to tell you to use tooth picks to hold the bacon on them. be careful with children with the tooth picks.
