It seems to me that if you entertain the possibility of gods and goddesses at all, then there is no way of knowing which of the hundreds of deities that humans have worshipped all over the world and throughout history is the real one, if any. Statistically the chances of having chosen the right one are tiny. Maybe the real one hasn't even been 'discovered' yet. Do theists therefore spend a lot of time in a cold sweat, panicking that they might end up in some other god's version of eternal torment? If not, why not?

As a child I worried about that.
Now I believe that if there is a God, it is a unified force that sees good and evil and it doesn't matter what name you give it.
Strangely, one of the Narnia Chronicles helped me to understand this idea. In - I think - the last one, some creature who had worshipped Aslan's foil was in heaven (or whatever it was called in the books... was it actually Narnia?) and one of the kids asked about it. Aslan said that it didn't matter who he was worshipping: he was worshipping with a pure heart or whatever and so the worship automatically went to the "good" God.

All true religions point to the same God.
The only important step in this life is that you are able to step outside of yourself. All religions share this as their goal, but in different ways depending on their cultures.
Having a true spiritual relationship with God is real. You just can't get there if you continue to analyze things from your own perspective.
No. They don't worry. God gives them peace.

I have no fears or worries. I KNOW I serve the One and Only true God, the great I AM. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind whatsoever.

No I do not.
Isaiah 43:10
“But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the Lord.“You are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me,and understand that I alone am God.There is no other God—there never has been, and there never will be.

Not enough.
Some self claimed Christians believe they are serving the Bible God, but they have made their own god who will fit into their doctrine.
Mormons and JWs deny hell. That is more comfortable to them. I am not fearful of hell because God wants to save us and we all can choose heaven if we want to.

"If you are grounded in your atheism," What does that mean? == "perfectly at peace and happy with this short, short" What is "perfectly at peace" sounds like dead to me. And why would I like life being short? == "why do you waste your time on these boards attacking theists" Why are you accusing me of things I don't do? Arrogant of you. == "you could be doing other things you enjoy and ignoring those who you know for sure, 100%, to be wrong in the belief in god?" I have to be somewhere. Why again do you presume to know what I "know"? You're being very arrogant. == "Unless you do NOT feel 100% secure in your choice and the incorrectness of other opinions, why do you even bother to discuss, to debate?" My lack of belief in all deities is just as right for me as someone else's belief in... whatever they choose. I 'bother' because the people who are using their tyrannical majority to repeatedly violate the constitution of my country and deny rights to minorities hang out here. And tyranny needs to be pointed out. == "Christians might say you will go to hell, but they do not put a gun to your head, why retaliate to words" They're doing much worse than that. They're putting their religion into laws. I would prefer they used guns instead of hiding like cowards behind the constitution while spitting on it. == "while you surf these boards and attack theism?" Again you arrogantly presume what I do. Why would I attack what wouldn't even be known? If all someone is doing is "believing" something I wouldn't even know would I? It's actions I object to. And most specifically violations of the constitution of the country. Those christians who do this are vile. Sorry but there is little other way to describe a person who insists that rights are good only for themselves. == "If a madman came up to you and pointed at you saying "Look, a purple unicorn", would you waste your time arguing with him" If 80% of the people in the US used their tyrannical majority to pass laws that only those who believed in this "purple unicorn" could marry or hold political office, yes I would die trying to convince them they were wrong. And I would be 100% right. Sorry but your attempt to claim that both are equally wrong is childish and blind.

Naaah, I don't think they worry about that at all. They're so self-righteous and believe 100% that they're right whereas everyone else is wrong.
Zeus will punish them severly when the time comes.

Just to be safe, perhaps they pray to them all. How could it hurt, just in case their primary was not the one true god.
