wow I'm not the only one panicking!! I have a 2 yr old in whelp (although she is meant 2 b!!) and i thought i was doing bad for the whole silly owner thing. seems we are 2 of a kind. Your girl should be just fine as she is old enough now to have pups, have you had a vet check her yet? If she is 5 weeks or more she should be on a good quality pup food to help with energy and vitamins etc. is there a quiet room in the house she can have her babies in as she wont want to be disturbed to much when the time comes. Also if she has not been to the vet pls make sure you tell your vet when she is due her babies so that if you do need the vet ( god forbid but it does happen) the vet will be pre-warned. Best of luck with your new babies. They're great to have around but very hard work and VERY expensive!!! P.S. stop worrying!!!

All I can say is that I have found no record of this ever happening. anatomically speaking it IS impossible UNLESS so genetic mutation provided a passage from the uterus to the oral cavity.
I believe some of the other posters are correct in that you probably missed the actual birth and are witnessing the mother cleaning the pup.
If this truly is not the case and it is some genetic mutation...then way the *** are you asking the question on Y!A and not taking the dog to the vet for examination...your dog could be famous.
All in all, I chalk this question up as a hoax.

The dog was just eating the placenta which is par for the course. You don't need to be a vet to know that a dog can not give birth through it's mouth.

No, they can't deliver a pup from their mouth. However, she could have pushed out the pup, grabbing it with her mouth, and therefore have the appearence of this if all was still intact when you saw her. I think you missed seeing step 1 by a few seconds. Also, I think she was probably pregnant before you think she was. Might be more than one father, also.

Animals eat the placenta after giving birth so maybe you missed the actual birth and just saw her cleaning up after herself?

Did you witness basic health classes in high school as well? If so you realize where a uterus is in a human and dogs aren't that different in that respect. There is no connection between the actual stomach of a dog and a uterus.
I think you may have been dreaming and not in a pleasant way.

The dog was eating the afterbirth. If a pup was near her mouth, she was probably biting the umbiblical cord .
Since most mammals have nearly the same basic systems/organs, do you think your mother could give birth thru her mouth?
Biology class wasn't your favorite, was it?

I would say the possibility is zero.
But then I'm not a vet. Let's see what all the YA VETS have to say. There are lots of them out here and I'm sure they will be happy to chime in and give you their expert medical advice.

I'd say the chance of that happening is zero. I'm not a vet or a breeder but I don't believe it's true.

Only if your dog was abducted by Space aliens and they did experiments on him. Other than that it's Imposable.
