I mean relations among Sikhs, Hindus, Buddhists and Jains are not as bad as the relations among Muslims, Christians and Jews. What is it about Dharmic religions that allow this?

Dharmic Religion's focus is man based rather than God based...this is because man is seen as very important, every person as valid as the next and each person has the possibility of perfection through their own effort and their own growth within.

The focus is within as opposed to outside.

When the focus is within for development through our own efforts, this understanding of ourselves helps us to understand others...this understanding makes for a more peaceful understanding existence knowing that all Beings are equal in the struggle to be better Beings...

The path to perfection is a long and arduous one....

There are many such paths all leading to improvement and ultimate freedom from hate and fear and delusion...many paths....all Beings are thus valid because all Beings wish to be thus free...

To label one a Buddhist, Jew, Hindu, Muslim is irrelevent as labels are irrelevent...remove the label and all that remains is a human Being..faulty, frail, frightened just trying to survive and Live Life without pain and without suffering....all are Human and all are just as valid as the next...

A Buddhist....

The Dharmic religions are more introvertive verses extrovertive.

Reading the Tao Te Ching, for instance helps man to think about himself and his place on earth. Most of them teach that eternal enlightenment is found through introspection, where as the Muslims, Christians and Jews, believe in eventual world dominance for their religion. The Muslims are waiting for Allah to conquer the world, the Jews are waiting for the Messiah to conquer the world, and the Christians are waiting for Jesus to return and conquer the world.

These religions are about dominance prior to peace and all teach that tribulation and disaster and the destruction of all other beliefs must occur before peace can be achieved. Dharmic religions just attempt to achieve internal peace here on earth, despite the disaster and natural occurances that happen around them. This leads to a more peaceful existence.

But even Dharmic religion can cause great harm, the years of war between pakistan and india prove that.

I think it is because their faiths make it so that belief in their particular way of thinking is not necessary, and that they all favor an enlightened state that is very similar in nature to the other religions' perception of it.

They don't insist theirs is the One True Way or that there's only one god. So they can be tolerant without wondering about whether or not they're betraying their faith.

They're willing to admit they are wrong when it's clear they are. Funny how that works

There is less focus on the ego, ie. me, me, me, my way is right, and a sense of seperation. The focus is on unity.
