play something active and physical before naps, this way theyw ill be beat out. Some games are simon says, ring around the rosie, 5 little monkeys, scarf games (those flimsy decorativee scarfs for women are wicked fun when your that age, let them each have a scarf and tell them it is a bat, bird etc and they have to fly it around, give them directions on what to do such as fly on your pinky or fly in circles, land on your nose, stretch to the sky etc)

For quiet activities we make hand puppets out of brown lunch bags (we recently made santas. I had all the parts already cut out and a sample one made for them to look at, then i let them go loose and make theirs, they had some creative takes on santa!) after that we done a play with our puppets and sang christmas songs.

Also getting them to sit down and tear up paper in certain colors and pictures from catalogs that are that color and then pasting them to a seperate page to create a collage of that color (such as tearing up diffrent green papers and pictures of green things, green string and buttons, green sparkles etc and then let them choose what they glue down, good for color recognition, fine motor skills, creativity etc)

finger paint is a wonderful but messy activity they love. Water and sand play is also another activity they enjoy but could get messy.

baking cookies and decorating them is a lot of fun for young children.

Bake some cookies! If you do it from scratch, the 3 year old can help stir and shape the cookies.

Make an indoor fort or princess castle

Sing silly songs or make up stories.

Read books

play follow the leader

Make princess crowns out of construction paper or christmas ornaments or snow flakes.

Bundle up, run around outside for 20 or30 minutes and then come in and get warm and have hot chocolate.

i could base my decision extra on the centers then if i'm able to bathe my horse interior the iciness. My retired gelding is a dirt hog and definite, it extremely is a soreness to bathe him off to journey interior the iciness, even inspite of the undeniable fact that, i does not pass him to a facility because of the wash rack and that i'm distinctly confident you're unlikely to the two- i'm assuming you delight in something of the power and are in simple terms staring on the wash rack as a perk. i in my view do never bathe my horses as quickly because it gets under 50 and that i've got get entry to to warm water all 12 months around- there is in simple terms no ought to. even inspite of the undeniable fact that, the place I stay, there is not any displaying interior the iciness- way too chilly and so the only driving i'm doing is path driving/classes. i ought to care much less if my horse is grimy for a path journey or maybe a lesson and neither would desire to you. make confident that the place the saddle is going and the different tack (boots, bridle, etc) is sparkling and bounce on and luxuriate on your horse. till you're heading to a coach, there is not any choose for a horse to be spotless.

put them in the bathtub with some toys or plastic measuring cups and let them stay there till they're prunes.

let them wash their plastic toys in the sink or a big dishpan on the floor.

turn on rock and roll (not baby music) and dance! (okay you can use kid music if you really want to, but why would you want to?)

get out the pots and pans and spoons and make a lot of noise

bring some snow in the house and put some food coloring in it

If you celebrate Christmas, my 3 year old is big into playing Santa. He gets a trash bag and fills it with stuffed animals. Then puts them out under the tree. We also made him beard with cotton balls.
