I found this HDMI switch that is way below the $200 plus units. I want to plug in my satellite box and DVD box to the switch, then run an HDMI cord to the back of the TV. I have an DVD player that upconverts, and I suppose I might get even better quality with the HDMI from the DVD to the TV. The TV has just one HDMI input.

It is an electrical circuit repeater, just like a hub, its function is to allow to plug more than one device on the same plug, so it should do its job properly !

Yup, it'll work.

But you can also use component AV cables instead for the satellite box to your TV connection.
