Interestingly enough, I was presented w/this revelation today during my devotional reading by Oswald Chambers and I thought it interesting to pose the question. This is not a boast from me, but a revelation from God to brother Chambers. What a blessing!

There is a difference between the ROLE of the Holy Spirit and the RESULT of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer.

Blessings to all and Merry Christmas!

Chris
it is possible to lose salvation...Think about Adam and Eve, Cain, Judas and some kings that God had appointed like Nebuchadnezzar who were punished.

The holy spirit is a helper and a messenger. It is also the force that was with Jesus when a woman with a 12 year flow touched his hem he felt holy spirit drain from him.
Holy spirit was poured out on the ones in the upper chamber at Pentecost 33 CE to help them preach to the crowds.

Jesus, made under the law, doesn't say Holy "Spirit".
Rather he says a Holy "Ghost" shall come upon you.
Holy Ghost is a schoolmaster that fails every student.

The "Lord" (Christ) says "Holy Spirit" in Luke 11:13.

No man can say Jesus is Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

There's a difference between "Jesus" and "Christ",
also a difference between "Holy Ghost" & "Holy Spirit";
Difference between law & grace is merciless & merciful.

God is "merciful" only; Not both merciful and merciless.
So God was in "Christ" reconciling the world: 2Cor 5:19.

Jesus: division and not peace... Law vs Grace
Christ: peace and not divided... Grace "only"

E-life of e-salvaton is "through Jesus --> Christ".

Reconciled is (through Jesus-->Christ)-->to God.

His Grace --> Mercy ---> Peace with you all. Amen.

The outpouring of God's Holy Spirit during the great tribulation will reveal the sons of God.

Paul worded it this way at Romans 8:18-19: “Consequently I reckon that the sufferings of the present season do not amount to anything in comparison with the glory that is going to be revealed in us. For the eager expectation of the creation is waiting for the revealing of the sons of God.”

Christ himself foretold that during the conclusion of the system of things the angels will permanently remove from Jehovah’s kingdom all those weed-like persons who are doing lawlessness and heave them into the fiery furnace – causing them to perish. It is at that time when the sons of God “will shine as brightly as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.”

The sons of God shining like the sun in the kingdom of Jehovah means that they will have been fully accepted into the then-established kingdom; and not only that, but they will have conferred upon them the very glory of Christ – a glory that they will then reflect to illuminate others – those who have not allowed themselves to have become blinded by Satan.

In a miraculous manifestation reminiscent of Moses, the anointed will then be transfigured so as to radiate Jehovah’s glory in their own faces and in that way the sons of God will be revealed before creation as an earthly reflection of the glorious revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Galatians 5:22,23 says the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 mildness, self-control. So we would begin to cultivate these kinds of qualities.
The spirit was like a fire within God's servants, causing them to be energized by that force. And it enabled them to speak out boldly and courageously.—Micah 3:8; Acts 7:55-60; 18:25; Romans 12:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:19.
GOD'S spirit can also supply "power beyond what is normal" to those who serve him. (2 Corinthians 4:7) This enables them to endure trials of faith or to do things they could not otherwise do.

You would have the courage and the ability to preach His gospel. The New Testament say that the apostles were able to talk in different foreign languages of their various audiences after receiving the Holy Spirit. It was called the "gift of tongue".

The Holy Spirit is Comforter, assures us that we are children of God forever (it is impossible to lose salvation), He also leads us into all truth, gives us gifts of the Holy Spirit, puts His power in the Lord's testimony in us.

Good question.

It seems like Paul wrote more about the Holy Spirit than anything Jesus Christ said about it.

The result was the Holy Ghost teaches us all things, and brings all things to our remembrance that Jesus taught. Additionally, the Holy Ghost brings peace to our hearts.
