Because Christianity is a dualist based religion. Basically, the idea of good vs. bad, right from wrong, heaven/hell is so prevalent, that in order to know what is right, you need to know what is wrong. Most other religions don't adopt the same exact view like Christianity, and don't emphasize the importance of heaven/hell, two contrasting views of afterlife. Also, since Christanity has a major figurehead (Jesus), the antichrist is just symbolic of everything that is NOT christian (sinning, evil, hell, damnation, greed etc.). By the way, the word antichrist is a just a word used to describe such anti-christ like things and concepts. Similar to saying that darkness is anti-light or big is anti-small.

i really don't know, you know this is a battle between god and satan or lucifer and satan will do whatever he can to trick us and get us into his hands. Think about it, if you were the king of a major country and you had no inhabitants, than you would try to get some, but....there is competion and he is promising something better than you are, so then you'd use trickery and well whatever else was at hand, the antichrist is the perfect way to manipulate people, its briliant. And....so many people will indeed fall for it as well, but i think there is no antichrist's in other religions cause well if you read how their gods came about there was no like dangerous competing evil....so yeah i don't know what else to tell ya.

Because those religions weren't dumb enough to invent such an irrational concept. Islam is at least 10 times as logically coherent as Christianity and Buddhism a 100 times more rational.

Christianity was born of the most ignorant and superstitious elements of a decadent Roman Empire, where all kinds of kooky cults abounded and you could find a Messiah or prophet in every other city, it seemed, preaching the End-of-the-World, and follow me and be saved, or else be damned with the wicked. Who were the wicked? Those who denied the Messiahship or Prophethood of the man preaching, whose only credentials were some self-proclaimed vision in a desert somewhere.

The religion's that don't believe in the bible as we do,don't have what we call the Antichrist. We on the other hand, are taught that he is real, and will come to rule over the us in the end days. I'm sure the other beliefs have a bad character in their religions as well. We could look into them,if we took the time. Bless and keep you.and Merry Christmas.

budhists and muslims are groups of people...Christ was, arguably, one person/thing/being. Much easier to have an Anti-Me than an Anti- America.

Plus, the universe would be thrown out of balance without the anti-christ! Can yoou imagine a place all happy and fluffy and pink all the time?! Just kidding. I think it's more of a scare tactic to keep some people on the straight and narrow.

The Anti-Christ was a term coined by a Christian.
It was used to describe characters later believed to be Napoleon and Hitler. There are allegedly more to come. Look up Nostradamus.

An interesting rainy day project:
Set up a website predicting the emergence of an Anti-Buddha... or an Anti-Mohammed. Make sure it is well encrypted so you won't be targetted by fundamentalists until after you die.

Because christianity is based on the beliefs of good and bad. One cannot exist without the other. Other religions have similar evils like hell and the antichrist.

God made all creatures in His likeness. Maybe not physically but we each have egos, etc. Unfortunately, Michael the Archangel let his ego get out of control and wanted power.
Yes, God could have destroyed him but as He is a forgiving, merciful God He chose not too.
If you will read: 1John 2:18 thru 4:3; 2John 1 and 2 and Jude 1 you will understand more.
Joining a bible study on this will also help.

A belief in absolute good vs. absolute evil, light vs. dark... these are useful to offer simple choices for people who don't want to think too much for themselves. It is not always good to say 'smoking is bad', you should always focus on why 'non smoking is good' - but with christians, they prefer to invent ideas to scare you into doing the right thing. Thus we have hell, and the Devil, and the Antichrist.
