Most people don't realize it. And probably those people are not married or in long lasting relationships either. If you need to see something to get your own imagination going, then I would say you must not be very imaginative yourself. And obviously, everything on the outside fades with time anyway.
My first marriage was destroyed by this, and I was not surprised to see how many other marriages were also. The problem I have is with how it relates to others around the addicted person (IE. the spouse, the children, friends) and their denial. So much time is literally wasted away, hiding behind closed doors. Even if you have a relationship - you definitely cannot develop it or nurture it, the addiction becomes the priority.

Well, I don't consider myself having a porn addiction although I do watch it sometimes but since I'm not looking for a relationship right now maybe I should become addicted. Right now I'm perfectly content with casual dating and my FWB's.

there are different kind of porn movies, if you watch only "normal" ones it helps you not top get involve in real life relationships without love because it takes away the presure and it shows people who are not lying about "loving eachother" and doing all sorts of crap in that behalf. It is pure lust and honest, people enjoying and satifying eachother, being completely natural. What is wrong with that? Besides, it educates you what we should do with our bodies, nobody teaches us that. I am talking about normal porn movies without any perversions.

I don't have an addiction, but if I did, it wouldn't prevent me from forming real relationships. My boyfriend would probably be impressed.

really? Huh.. that's interesting. I would have thought it to be something from childhood that caused you to view society as a joke, much less monogamous relationships.
Are you sure that it isn't the fact that most homes in America are single parent- which sends a message to the child that you don't have to be with someone to be a parent or adult?
