Having surgery to shorten my ulna bone w/ a plate and screws being inserted in my wrist area. This is after 2 attempts to repair damage to cartilage, and pain related to it via scope procedures. Anyone had this done? Looking to hear about recovery, and the cast. Thanks for any info...

I have a ten inch plate and twelve screws in my left wrist. The long tendon is not there either, ask your doctor about this, it's very rare. Osteo-arthritis has just about eaten the outside of the covering off all the bones. A lot of pain and my wrist "pop's" out.
The right wrist is as bad but, I'm going to wait, The healing time was long, about six to eight months (I'm a carpenter) and, I told the doctor when I can wipe with my left wrist, he can do the right. You can't move your wrist again, right, left or up or down. You do get used to it.
