all and everything can be traces, but broadband phone are one of the hardest to trace....so ease you mind!!!

Absolutely, a demodulator just needs to be inserted somewhere on the cable line. Locally, the telephone line in your house can still be tapped in the conventional way, as it's a standard telephone signal, until it reaches the modem.
