All the different types of food groups are required by the body, keep that in mind.

Fruits, however, are one of the best food groups for you.

I agree. Whole natural foods as free as possible of alterations. Even when I buy processed foods like veggie burgers, they have to be free of things like hydrogenated oils, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, etc. Actually, no brand of veggie "meat" contains that junk. I buy frozen fruits and veggies instead of "fresh". "Fresh" veggies have been handled too much before they reach the grocerys tore. Also, they loose nutrients. Frozen produce is frozen soon after harvest so more nutrients are preserved. I steam my veggies unitl they are just soft enough to eat. Occasionaly, I will salt them but do not put fatty dressings (or even low fat) or butter on them. Yuck. My diet isn't perfect, but it's not SAD. (Standard American Diet) I eat whole foods as close as possible to the way God made them. Also, I drink nothing but filtered water, soy milk and orange juice and coffee with filtered water.

Really, it is mainly fruits and veggies(when steamed and not loaded w/butter)it's best to eat veggies uncooked to get the best nutrients, like carrots, broccoli they are really good when they aren't cooked and you can dip them in a low-fat dressing!Fruits are really good for your skin.Try eating a lot of apples, bananas, oranges and grapefruit. With meats, red isn't good for you.The best thing is eating tunafish, really all fish is good energy, brain and metabolism boosting food.I like to eat grilled chicken because I love it and it is healthier then frying it(if you like chicken, try that ) Also make sure you drink 10-12 8 oz. glasses of water that is the best thing for your skin:)Good luck!

All fresh foods that have not been processed - it really is as simple as that.
