No, but there was a court case in Spain recently when the Catholic Church was successfully sued under data-protection laws for refusing to remove someone's name from their membership rolls (or whatever they call them).

I don't think it would still be on there. I was a member of a church growing up, but it's been at least 15 years since I was a participant. It's not like I took any particular steps to have my name taken off, though.

I'm sure my name might appear in some lists held by some churches.I have donated to churches before. But a roll list? No, I doubt it.The last time I attended any church I sort of said a few things that irritated the clergy just enough that they probably have made certain to forget me and disassociate from ever knowing me.I have that effect on people..... ;)

Highly doubtful, but I haven't checked the membership list of Faith Presbyterian Church. I suppose it's possible that they still carry my name; I don't know what procedures they use to determine who is/is no longer a member. I don't see the relevance either way.

No, I went through the process of being excommunicated from the catholic cult so they couldn't count me as a member anymore. It wasn't too difficult, just had to contact the bishops from where I was baptized and where I lived currently. Then write them both letters that stated my intentions and that I was an atheist. I also included a list of the wrongs I felt the catholic cult had committed and what I thought of their doctrine and dogma. They weren't happy about it, but offending a bunch of religious cult leaders is a good thing.

I think my families might be although I don't remember getting harvest (money)d onation envelope this year.
Because my dad used to make us go to church but I haven't been in one (except for a wedding) in about 10/12 years. I'm not bothered if my name appears on a list somewhere

Don't think so. When I moved to ermany I had to register with the state and they ask for your religion. I put none. If I had put a particular religion down I would have been taxed extra for being a member of the church.

No. I never even considered becoming a member of a church or any religious organization.

I have no reason to "take myself out", I stil practice some of the rituals because I see them as tradition - I will get married in a church for example, not because I really believe in that, just because ..... it's tradition, and it mixes a lot with other traditions that have nothing to do with religion. And we have beautiful traditions
