I'm surprised to read how many women seem to think this is some sort of insult. I've been doing this one for years, & I can tell you precisely why we do it: we're grateful! If a man thanks a woman for cooking him dinner or doing his laundry, would these same women think he is looking at her as a maid? Why then would they feel as if he thinks less of them because he thanked them for sex? The only major difference is a man might be able to wash his own clothes & cook his own meals, but the closest he can get to having sex with himself is Rosie Palm, & trust me, that just isn't the same. So, I plan to continue this practice, & if I'm dating someone who would actually be insulted at a polite expression of my gratitude to her, than I'll dump her before I end up spending the rest of my life with someone that neurotic. Hopefully, you don't agree with these women, & feel insulted by this practice, because trust me, anything but an insult is intended. Sometimes I feel like us guys can't do anything right, because I hear women say all the time they don't feel appreciated by men they are with, & then when a man tells a woman how much he appreciates her for having sex with him, it's an insult? Is it any wonder a lot of us are the strong, silent type? We get in trouble when we speak, & we get in trouble when we don't speak, so we can't win! Please, ladies, cut your men some slack? If a man thanks you for sex, tell him he's welcome, or better yet, THANK HIM! You have no idea how much of a turn-on that is, at least for me, when a woman thanks me for my efforts in the bedroom. Granted, some of us may not last long enough to bother thanking, but if we do, & especially if you get even one orgasm out of the deal, please, ladies, show a little appreciation & say thanks. LOL!

Maybe they were really happy to have had sex with someone beautiful like you (I don't know how you look, but you get repeated "Thank You's" then you must be very pretty. OR the guys you had sex with probably haven't slept with a girl and are unsure what to do. Those would be the most logical answers.

you know i wish i could explain this one. i have done it before on accident and the girl ask me if i was calling her a whore for saying thank you i said no i just really needed sex and was so excited that we did it that i wanted to say thank you .of course she broke up with me and i have never said thank you after sex again. us guys are just trying to do the right thing but sometimes the way we say things comes out of our mouths all wrong

They are polite but if you want to reciprocate then you should say the same.
Be glad that the once that you are meeting are polite.
But if you do not like that particular approach then just talk it over with them or at least ask them.

lol aren't most of us taking each other for granted? We might have forgotten to be appreciative.
If a guy is paying for his sex/one night stands then saying thank you to his service provider will be meant differently.
My bf says that to me & vice versa because we felt each other's love.
We hardly have sex, we mmaakke love :)

i love all the positive feedback i was wondering too myself but then again i only ever had one guy that i had sex with say thank you and because i wasn't used to hearing it i thought he was referring me as a prostitute and thanking me for giving it too him like in that way but now i realize they are really just appreciate you, so ladies don't threat and just say thank you or your welcome or my pleasure back :)

Yeah. Maybe they enjoyed having sex with you, they wanted to show their appreciation. It doesn't mean that the person doesn't have sex very often.

weird. but if I would say that, its because I finally found someone to do things together in our bed. its hurts being rejected cause of the size. shallow b!tches.
I never had a girlfriend before. but when I'll have one, I'm sure she will love me for who I am and I'll say "thank you" many times.

The only reason I could think of is if you are a prostitute then it just might be common courtesy. Like, 'thank you for the great time. Have a nice day'. It just sounds so impersonal - if you are in a relationship w/ the guy this would be odd.
