I'm a 47 year old female, will be single soon after 10 years of marriage, Yes I do want to start dating soon after, I don't want to get to serious but just have some opposite sex friends, due to I didn't have any male friends while married.
I haven't been to a club are dancing in years, don't really drink but love music.

internet dating, tell friends that you are interested in meeting men to date, take up a class in something that you are interested in but have never bothered to do (you will either meet men who are available for dating or new platonic friends who are able to introduce you to someone new). If you are religious, then see if your church has a singles group.
Just get out and circulate and have a great time.
BTW--hardware store on a Friday night is a good place to meet single men, too.

The most important part of this process is that you are happy with who you are. If you have accomplished that every thing should be easy. Go out with friends and make new ones , not clubbing or bars please, will only bring a one night stand. I am 50 and having the best time of my life after 25 years of marriage. I stopped been conventional, and just ask some one out instead of waiting to be asked, you will be surprise of how well this works for you. Once you go out make sure that he understand that you want a friend with benefits, and move on. By the way he is someone that I already knew thrue my husband, (((((Lots of fun)))))

I understand completely.I'm 44 and recently single after 18yrs of marriage.Just becuase you don't drink doesn't mean you can't go to clubs to dance,but it has been my experience that most people in the clubs do drink and some way to much,if you know what I mean!Although on a couple occasions I have meet both men that aren't into drinking&turned out to be very nice.They were just looking to dance.There are a couple of singles dancesthat are posted on web.SINGLES DANCE-NEW ENGLAND&TOGETHER.COM,SINGLES DANCE are the ones I know about.I go to together n.h.com singles dance because I'm in N.H. you might need to put your state in also to narrow your search to your area,good luck&have fun a free dinner&dancing is never harmful!

Try internet dating. It may seem strange at first, but you can really meet some great people that way (just be careful and make sure they are what they say before meeting them).

my mom uses the internet and has a lot of fun with that while i just met people when im out and concerts or just shopping but try everyway then you'll find yourself likeing one more then the others

just be yourself and start all over again...it might be fun. but stay comforted that you are wiser from your yester years and well equiped mentally and experienced to handle almost any situation?
dont feel too nervous as what yuo dont know wont hurt you? just relax and have fun.
