Satan is what you believe him to be. He is portrayed as ugly, to make him seem bad. He is a symbol of Hell, portrayed as fire. It is not all true It is just described to people in a way that will allow them to see which place is better.

It's due to confusion over what's what in Christian mythology.

For example, the whole goat-headed devil was created from the Roman fertility god Pan in a somewhat negatively portrayed form but then later confused with Satan himself.

Incidentally, the whole thing about Satan being an angel stems from non-canonical texts and was mainly promoted by Milton's Paradise Lost.

One last thing, ignore anyone who claims that he was an angel called Lucifer (including Milton), the whole Lucifer name came about through a mistranslation of the "light bearer" passage. The original passage refered not to Satan but to the King Nebuchadnezzar who had "fallen from grace". There was no comparing to Satan or similar.

The classic portrayal of Satan as having cloven hooves and horns comes from the iconography of Pan and other Pagan Gods. The early Church wanted to vilify the Pagan religions by demonizing their Gods. So the Christian Devil (for whom there is NO physical description in the Bible) took on the likeness of Pan. It was purely for propaganda purposes on the Church's part. Incidentally, the name "Lucifer" was added to the Bible in Latin translation. Originally it was the name of a minor Roman divinity. The original Hebrew name was "Halal ben Shahar."

Hello, Andy:

Yes, Lucifer, which means "light bearer" was the most beautiful of God's angels, and he is coming, watch out!

You are living during the greatest Star Wars drauma, and the outcome is already fixed. The thing is, you have a choice on what team you will be in.

Your inquisitive mind should read all five chapters of a hidden Bible code that proves Jesus is the Messiah and identifies Antichrist. It was reveald now because we are facing special delusions, such as no generation has seen before. See www.abiblecode.com

Shalom, peace in Jesus, Ben Yeshua

Since you don't believe there is no God, then you don't believe in no satan. So you question is just to aggitate someone, But you fail to aggitate me. Because there is a God & also satan. & the bible says that if the angels of God is angels of light, how much more can the ministers of satan transform themselves into an angel of light, But one thing they lack, & that is the Truth. But since you don't believe in any God or satan, then this question does not belong to you. It is just your stupidity & aggravation to some Christains, But not to me. Sorry you loose again.

2 Cor. 11:14, 15: “Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light. It is therefore nothing great if his ministers also keep transforming themselves into ministers of righteousness.”
Here we are cautioned that not everything that originates with Satan may appear hideous. One of his chief methods of deceiving mankind has been false religion of all kinds, to some of which he gives a righteous appearance

Artistic license.
The fact of the matter is, he was from what I heard, the finest looking angel of all the angels.
So, when he comes, people will most likely be attracted to him, to his presence, the same as any charismatic leader.
