...but if you take a second though, don't you think that is a good thing for us that most of us aren't ?

I used to think people being less blind would be good, but I have changed my mind. I now realise many people enjoy the blindness since this gives them the liberty to lie and hide, even from themselves.
It allows people to chose as they want to without having the burden of knowing. It also makes the world less complex since all you have are your own perceptions instead of a whole cosmos outside of you. I think clairvoyance is only useful if it goes hand in hand with personal development. Otherwise the same lies and manipulation will simply continue, but on a more subtle level. You can use your aura and chakra's to lie if you are aware enough so you can fool clairvoyants. Fewer people being clairvoyant, means less of an arms race which is better for those who are claivoyant.

The actual scientific research on ESP (clairvoyance) strongly suggest that ESP is a normal human ability that is normally distributed throughout the population. Just like many people can play piano but are not Mozart so appears to be ESP. Many people just like they choose to not to learn to play the piano (even if they have the ability and aptitude for it) choose not to develop (how this possible is another research question) their ESP ability.
Under certain conditions (Ganzfeld in particular) this ability seems easier for people to use.
However, your question is an interesting philosophic one. How would our world change if we could tell people were lying and read their thoughts and no one could keep secrets. This would have a down side and upside.
For example if you knew that your enemy could read all your information would you build nuclear weapons to start with? Then North Korea is a non issue. We would even have known that Weapons of Mass Destruction was a lie and saved many American (and Iraqi) lives. In those cases yes ESP would prove horrible huh? On the other hand we would lose surprise parties.

I'm in the middle on this. As another psychic, I have to admit that I struggle with my gifts so far. They are a huge responsibility and at the moment, they're causing me grief, because they're playing off of something I'm going through (to be really vague. lol). So some days, being gifted is a bit of a curse.
But I do agree completely with Pam. I think if more people were open like this there might not be as much violence and hatred in this world.

I think it would be a BIG invasion of privacy. Don't you think we have enough of that with the internet and all the "video voyagers"?
EDIT.. I believe .Mirko is right. The worst thing is that if you have one of these "senses" and you don't know the right way to use it and you use it wrongly..that's much worse than never having had one of these "gifts" (which I don't consider gifts..unless you can really help yourself and others with it)Another important thing is that you should never neglect your family by getting involved in all this. It took over MY life...and I regret being uninformed about how to use it correctly.
mirco is "showing off " his gift...speaking in"alien"..
edit...I knew someone who said she was psychic...Her every other word was "I know" .."I know"..."I know" (kinda like Sylvia Browne) That can really get on your nerves after awhile..and very boring.

being psychic in general has alot of responsibility. You must be extrememly carfull on how you present things, as they may be recieved not as intended. it is hardest to just email a reading, because of this fact. people ask, if your psychic why does bad stuff happen to you, well we are all here to learn lessons and live life. if we spent every hour of every day predicting what is happening next, there would be no time to live and learn. and most importantly the one thing we all have that can never be taken away, is free will. and everyone's free will effects everyone. i know that can be confusing, but let's say you had plans to go out with "joe" and "joe's" boss has him work late at the last minute, so he can't go out. well the reason "joe" has to work is due to someone's free will, "joe's" boss having "joe" work late instead of another employee is "joe's boss" free will, and "joe" working late is his free will, so your date is cancelled. so being psychic in order to know this you would have to be reading yourself every second of every day. it would drive you crazy.
so being psychic can be a curse, it takes time and energy to turn it on and turn it off. and sometimes you pick up on things that can be hurtful or devestating. this could make things emotionally draining and depending on your gifts, down right difficult on you.

Hello Claudia
As a psychic I think that it would be wonderful if more people where open to spirit - more truth, more clarity, more peace.
Less arguments, more personal responsibility & an open minded calm loving acceptance of all & everyone.
Maybe the worry would come from not having a clear view of what a Clairvoyant is & does.

I would have to agree with Pam...although there is much responsibility that comes with being clairvoyant, the world would be a much better place if people would use their intuit. We are all born with some sort of ability and it is up to us to decide if we are going to use it (and to figure out what that ability is!). It does teach us to utilize tolerance, prevents us from passing judgment, and teaches us to live in peace and harmony of the natural world.

There are a lot of times I wish I had not seen somethings. There is a lot of really disturbing stuff out there. Some times you can't help others. Children can be the worst, they are so sad and confused at times.

- - -
We all have hands, but sometimes we choose not to use them, eyes, but we wish we haven't or couldn't have seen things we don't like and so on.
As far as I'm concerned, I believe most of us should be more aware of this natural ability; only this way we will be able to learn how to properly use it.
