If you look at how history is taught now in schools, I doubt that in 500 years if Bush will warrant more than a line or 2. That is, unless this war finally escalates into a conflict which finally brings down the religion of Islam. In that case, he might get 2 1/2 lines. How many wars can we name the leaders of from 500 years ago (the time of Christopher Columbus?).

Five hundred years from now who says there will be an America we even recognize. As for the comments about ratings-Lincoln, T. Roosevelt and John Kennedy had horrible ratings for extended periods of time in office and all are revered as great Presidents now so hard to say what history brings because it is written after the fact and if the writer sticks to facts then the truth will be known. Looking at history books today though I can forget teaching facts; every thing is opinion and politically correct.

ok, what one Republican says won't be in a position to be generalized to all Republicans. If I cared sufficient, i'm specific i ought to locate some costs from pagans and use that to assert all pagans have self assurance such issues and you will possibly with out postpone best me. comparable to that, i do no longer think of you are able to say previous a doubt that any pagan might have self assurance this-this-and-this on the themes. you are able to, yet i'm specific no longer each and every pagan does, purely as no longer each and every Christian feels an identical way approximately themes. If a pagan ran for President and his or her perspectives on the themes and plans to make certain the themes greater heavily matched mine than the different candidate, specific, i might vote for that individual. besides the undeniable fact that it quite is kinda silly and extremely presumptuous to make blanket statements like a number of pagan could be a sturdy President.

Father of modern USA??? Global competition for whose benefit, not the American Citizen. Maybe, the father of the USA loosing its sovereignty. Furthermore, he claims he is fighting "terroism", BUT he and the rest of our dear government refuse to close our borders, or protect this country from terrorism. Fight "terrorism" over there? I think they are already here, and just waiting. Just watch our "rights" being thrown out the window so to speak.........if this is the so called "modern USA" you speak of, God help us.

Every idiot that says "OMG but l00kz @ teh aproval ratingz!!1!!!1!" might want to think about teh fact the Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln had some of the lowest approval ratings in history while they were in office, and are consistently ranked in the top 3 presidents of all time.
As for Bush, I doubt he will be the "father of the modern USA", but I believe he will be respected as a President who took the US through one of the toughest times in its histoy, who did what had to be done and damn the consequences.

Hopefully he will be recognized as the US President who finally drew a line in the sand with the Middle East sponsors of terrorism, leading finally to a new age of international cooperation and condemnation of all extremist support.
But I doubt it. Unfortunately there are always those who seem to take extremist positions just because it is cool.
