we need to get this "school of thought" taken out of our childrens textbooks.

darwin admitted he lied and even said he got his ideas from Alfred Russel Wallace,Charles Lyell and his own grandfather, Erasmus. oh and look up Ernst Haeckel from 1868, who was charged with fraud, for tampering with pictures of a pig embroy anda human embroy and having it published in the PRENTICE HALL BOIOLOGY: EXPLORING LIFE, pg. 303. look how many years it took for them to take it out of our textbooks. we do not evolve. to evolve means to move up from disorder to order. Look up the law of thermodynamics. this totally throws evolution out the window. there are mutations. come on people.

attn: geniepiper, you said "religious" people thought the earth was flat. its the other way around. In the book of Issiah in the bible it says the earth is a spere.
spere means round.

Exactly, it is a religion, and has no scientific basis. Even if one new thing could form what are the odds of it finding another analogous one to form a new species, and even if two should happen at the same time, and in the same place, it would be too small a gene pool to survive. See Kent Hovind- (or Dr Karl Baugh) they explain very persuasively the dozen or so reason why the foolishness taught in schools is just that.

I'm not sure I get where you're going.
When I was in school, I was told that Darwin's theory of evolution was just a theory. It was used as an example of how science works.
Granted, now I understand that science is in some ways limited, but so is blind faith. As I see it science and faith can and should work together. Why else would God let us have science? In fact, if God didn't love us, we'd never be allowed to think for ourselves in the first place, and all schools would only teach religion and that religion couldn't possibly have a name. Thank God for our freedom.

Evolutionists say that this happens slowly over many ages through gene mutation. However, most mutations are normally harmful to the survival or adaptation of living things. After all, evolution is still just one theory. Others follow religious teachings or extraterrestrial 'seeding' as alternatives.

Try reading about evolution and natural selection.
From your comment after the question I suspect anything will be wasted on you. It is not an honest question, your mind is made up. The workings of natural selection have been modified, expanded, and revised as more knowledge is gained - not an article of faith, but a matter of following the evidence.. And the evidence is overwhelming, but it is pointless to argue with someone who doesn't even have the curiousity to find out on their own.
Evolution is not a theory. It is a fact. Species exist now that did not exist in the past. The theory comes in on what caused this. And good science doesn't allow supernatural intervention.

It is really quite simple, and probably the truth, and most of you know that. So I am not going to try to explain it again because most of you had rather listen to some demagogue on television or in the pulpit than the most reputable scientists of the last one hundred years.
Science told you that the earth was round and most religious people did not want to believe it because they thought the Bible said otherwise. Now you don't want to believe in evolution because you think the Bible says otherwise, actually it doesn't; but, religion is always several steps behind reality and people who follow it will have to be drug kicking and screaming into the 21st century - and by the time they get there we will probably be in the 22nd century.

Because you don't understand the theory you think the right for other's to study and learn about it should be removed? It is the scientifically accepted model that is what should determine what is taught in science class. It has much good evidence if you are interested one source is linked below. There are also a number of good books. Try reading some information from sources other than creationist websites.

You say that school of thought should be taken out of childrens text book. Is not thought a creation and if all things are created would the not be meant to exist for a particular purpose of teaching and experience? May your God walk with you, continue to search for answers they are always out there.

This statement just about covers the basic idea, but it's not accurate.
Basically one species changes over time as random mutations are acted upon by natural selection, so that it is eventually very different from the original species. And when we judge that it is different enough we call it a new species.
So it is basically about species changing over time, not one species morphing into another one.

One species evolves into multiple species. Species change over time. This change is shaped by the environment. Those changes that help survival tend to be passed on while those that hinder it tend not to be.
Because species can find themselves in different environments, some groups drift apart from other groups. When groups separate from other groups, some changes that propagate among one group won't be spread through the other group. Also the groups end up in different environments that shape them differently.
There is actual observation of this happening.

That would be the science and biology sections.
If you don't understand speciation, or even if you misrepresent it, then how does your lack of knowledge or dishonesty qualify *you* to be banning evolutionary studies from school curriculums?
That is an important question as you appear to be wishing your (avowed) ignorance upon others.
You may as well be saying:
"I don't understand this. It goes against my religious thinking so I want it banned."
Such thinking belongs in Middle Ages Europe or modern Afghanistan. Or, more correctly, nowhere.

Evolution is not something you're just going to learn from reading a few sentences. If you are seriously looking for an answer to your question, which I doubt that you are...

Also, don't go to the clergy to learn about evolution. That'd be the same as going to a Satanist to learn about Jesus.
