We want thoughtful but not too personal and not too impersonal. If you've known her for years you must know what her interests are.
Suppose she likes to work crosswords, get her a NY Times Xword book, a NY Times Xword calendar, and nice pen. This shows you know how smart she is since she won't need an eraser.
Suppose she likes to cook, some wonderful kitchen gadget from Williams-Sonoma, include some kitchen towels.
Suppose she likes to garden, a set of neat garden tools would be lovely, along with a plant - or a lovely rose bowl or vase.
Suppose she likes to quilt or do needlework, then go to a shop that sells the supplies and buy something there - a magnifying lamp? a set of knitting needles?
If you don't know her interests, then here are some don'ts:
NO GIFT CARDS
NO BATH STUFF (this can be misconstrued)
If you don't have a clue about any of her real interests then scented candles are nice, or anything that can be used up - a small box of Godiva chocolates makes a lovely gift and can say anything.
May this turn into the relationship of your dreams.

Ahh....
Alright well my first suggestion would be:
*Starbucks coffee type gift set, just go into Starbucks and the ladies there will gladly find you something to get for this lovely lady friend of yours. That is if she likes coffee :) Who couldn't like Starbucks though...it's great.
*OR....you could even just get her a single rose and a nice Christmas card and let her know that you enjoy her company and that you hope there is more good times to share with her in the future.
Just do something simple and sweet, you don't want to go too over the top, considering you two aren't quite that "close" yet.

in case you have been dating for 5 months, you will desire to get eachother some thing, whether it is $2 or some thing you made. it is basically an emblem to coach which you care and seen him. you may convey it up, don't be embarrassed! Ask him if he is going to take you ice skating. tell him which you comprehend he's short on money and you do not anticipate that lots. you additionally must be arranged in case he desides to totally ask your self you with an ice-skating date. i don't comprehend how he's, yet some adult men are like that the place they're going to try this. yet what you get him would not must be costly, think of approximately what he likes and needs and is interested in. Make it own and you will locate some thing this is decrease priced and significant. Make a romantic night the place you're making his fashionable meal..

Considering this is a new relationship, I'd give her a token gift that reflects her interests. It should be more like a gift you'd give a friend. For example, if she's a coffee connoisseur, give her a gift card to Starbucks as well as a travel mug that reflects another one of her interests. Or perhaps she's arty and her sense of style is unusual. Get her an inexpensive piece of handcrafted jewelry that's unusual and in colors you've seen her wear. You shouldn't go for something too expensive or too personal at this phase in your relationship.

A gift certificate for a little pampering - a manicure, a pedicure, or a massage - or any combination of the three; a nice Christmas-y keepsake - a music box, a special ornament if she has a tree, - some of her favorite perfume, candles, etc. C'mon use your imagination - if this goes anywhere, you're going to have to come with ideas on your own.

Jewelry is always appropriate. It doesn't have to be expensive, maybe some sterling silver earrings or a bracelet. All women love to receive jewelry.

i suggest to play it safe, since its so new and fresh...get her a teddy bear with like for instance a pair of ear rings, or tickets to a movie, gift card, etc... the bear adds a little touch of sentitment without going overboard or rushing. :) best of luck, hope it goes well! :):):):):)
