Sure, then you and the other six posters here can all enjoy your red eyes and corneal ulcers. This is NOT a big con by anyone. Its an attempt to get the public to not destroy their eyesight by wearing their lenses too long. Like I've said before, docs make much more money treating your corneal ulcers and inflammations than they do selling contacts. Apparently, people's pocketbooks are more important.

"Disinfected" is one thing, "cleaned" is another.
Protein and other sunbstances will build up on lenses, and those can cause reactions and problems in the absence of any bacterial contamination.

Yes, you're likely to get away with it, at least for a while.

Driving on tyres with worn-down tread saves money, too.

No they can't .They collect protein and give you a lot of eye problems . Its a bit like these people who come on here and brag about how they abuse cleaning and keeping their lenses in overnight . Because it works once they assume you can abuse them all the time.Until they get a serious eye problem. Its like the solutions you should also get rid of them after 28 days.

They shouldn't be....I know a lot of people who now have problems with their eyes, because they wore their contacts for too long. In fact, a lot of people are starting to say that even wearing contacts is bad for you..although it is your choice...
